I managed to fit in a trip to Doha, Qatar, last weekend whilst I was working in Riyadh. I had my Lomo LC-A and Ondu 6x6 pinhole camera with me and took these shots of the wonderful Islamic Museum on the Corniche. It's designed by I M Pei (who also designed the pyramid at the Louvre).

The first is from the Ondu on Delta 100, the second one from the LC-A on HP5+

I shot the Mitty at Road Atlanta last weekend. I've only just started going through the eight rolls I shot, so I suspect you'll be seeing a fair few car pictures from me in the coming weeks. Here's one of my favorites - Pentax SFX, Pentax M-SMC 200/4, Kodak Portra 160:

Cliche or not Dave, your special touch shines through. Like the pinholes Kevin. And can´t resist a nice classic car pic of the quality displayed by 02.

My contribution this week is going to be posted a few times I am afraid (Portra post and WPPD), hope you can bear with me.

From the DIY 6x24 camera, Portra 400, with an ND8 filter (3-stops). 2, 6 and 8 minutes respectively.

Enjoyed the Paris photos, cliched or not.  Here is another work print picture of a ruined sugar mill in Nevis. Bronica RF645, 65mm, Ilford Delta 400 film.

Ezzie, those are great!

I snuck this pic at the Guggenheim (where photography is only allowed on the ground floor apparently).  I'm an outlaw!

I was there for the wonderful Carrie Mae Weems retrospective, where they had the entire Kitchen Table series hung.  It was fantastic.

Had some fun with some Delta 400 in the Minolta XD11 with a yellow filter. Wanted to push the limits of this film before I do some work with it. The Delta films just sing to me after using a roll of FP4+. Used it in the my 120 cameras and now the Minoltas. More to come.

wow great stuff again this weekend.

I tried to take a picture in the guggenheim a couple of weeks ago, but before I managed to press the shutter button someone tapped on my shoulders kindly requesting me not to, so all I have is a from-the-hip-shot, but you really captured the magic of that place I think.

Really liking owlsflight contribution as well. I'm always a sucker for lost-glory- or beauty-of-decaying-stuff-shots. Beautiful shot!

Developped the last NY rolls so here's a couple of them shot on arista ultra 200 with my trusty eos 300v souped in Xtol

Herse three quick ones I shaped during my trip to Valencia, Spain. My first experience with the new impossible PX-70 BW film. Develops a lot quicker than the color line of their production. Love the tones!

No kidding, a great weekend!

Here is some stuff I shot last weekend -- specifically some pinhole (thanks Diane) done on World Pinhole Day. I am pretty stoked by it so I am gonna cheat and post some of it here and some of it in the link for Pinhole Day.

I have been working on the old veggie garden and was doing some selfportaits with me and dear old "Matilda" the rototiller...

As they were 5 to 10 min exposures, lots of time for me to stroll in and get in the shot in ghostly ways!

From my desk/cubicle. Yes, I work in the dreaded cubicle farm, sitting in front of a computer. I sometimes need to take a 'creativity break' and get some snaps, even if they are just around the office/building.

Dave, your shots of Paris are magical. McDuff, I like the first one of your pinholes a lot.

I was out of Adotec developer so I tried stand developing CMS20 in 1+100 Rodinal. This left me with an extremely contrasty image (almost bitmap). I think I'm not going to do this again.
Camera was a Chamonix 45F1, Super Angulon 75mm.

Paul, it is interesting to see such an awesome and iconic structure in a way that is so different than how it is registered in my brain. Like a lot of North Americans my age, it is locked in my head with the distopian might and forboding that it was first seen by me --  on the cover of "Animals". In your pic, it looks like an old castle in the countryside!

Re: Paul's Battersea - Funny, it took me a minute to register the cover of Animals but I'm not much of a classic rock fan. What your Battersea picture reminded me of was, and here's my nerd flag flying, was the Doctor Who episode Dalek Invasion of Earth which has a brief & striking image of a destroyed Battersea. Damn you Daleks!  In anycase fine work.

Thanks mcduff & Hungry Mike!

I can just about remember the Dr Who film Mike although my memory of the film has the Daleks crossing Westminster Bridge... scared the pants off me when I was about 8 or 9 years old!

I visit Vancouver 4 or 5 times a year because my daughter now lives there. We spend our time on both Gabriola Island (have a house there) and a condo in Toronto. But I do love Vancouver having lived there for eleven years in the past.
