Slide film shot of a comet
« on: December 06, 2007, 05:15:31 PM »
I don't post a lot of photos here of my "work" type images because most of those are digital,
and for the most part are boring since they are just star fields that don't mean anything to untrained eyes.

But, I wanted to share this one of Comet 17P Holmes because it is not just a tedious field of stars.

Fuji slide film
ASA 400
4 minutes
Nikon F2 on a 5 inch refracting telescope at f8.1

Love it Beckster!! Wow.
  :)

Thanks for posting it here. How amazing would this look blown up so big that it fills the wall of a room?

Fantastic, Becky! I agree with Ed. It would look phenomenal really really big.

Thanks all!
You guys rock.  Wish I had more to share-maybe January when a current dimster named Tuttle brightens up.  It looks like a glitch on a radar screen right now, but shows promise.
