I bet that there's someone in the Taylor household that looks like the cat who's just got the cream... hope you enjoy using it as much as I have with mine.

Mmmm... Bellows... my favorite (in that Homer voice) ;D
I can imagine all the jumping around that happened when this was left on your doorstep :)
-
thanks guys - and I got a job yesterday ...
new job, new camera - I'm doing somersaults here :)
-
Well, congratulations are in order, I think. Both for the job and the camera!
-
Wonderful, Leon! I can relate to all this - I got a job myself (after being out of one for ages and ages) the week before last and tonight I am taking delivery of a small baby, err... I mean LF camera, namely a Sinar Norma.
Life can be grand sometimes. :)
-
Congrats Leon. It is a beautiful camera, you will have som much fun with it. And congrats to the job as well!
-
Haha - Well done !! ;D
-
Hats off good fellow.
-
waow! :o you're on a roll leon! congrats~~~ ;D
-
Great news. That camera is just gorgeous looking. Have you posted a video review yet? ;)
-
Congratulations for the job and camera Leon! :)
-
Congratulations on both.

Nice toy and congrats on the job hustle....
Talking 4x5, yesterday an assistant of Lord Snowdon picked up a Polaroid 4x5 back from me... Says its getting strapped to his Linhof kit today... 82 years old and still shooting I guess and at least its seeing the light of day instead of shacked up in my cupboard...
-
Great stuff. Hope you enjoy the new job as much as I'm sure you will enjoy the camera. :)
-
Congratulations on the job and camera, Leon! What a beauty! What's going to be your lens of choice?
-
Thanks for the warm wishes :)
ann - I mostly use a 150mm for 5x4 but this camera lets me focus my 65mm super topcor so I'm looking forward to some mad-wide 5x4! Even the harman Titan is less wide than that! It's a lens for 6x9 but the image circle will just cover 5x4 so I'm told. Exciting.
Miller - you always have the best anecdotes! Just being an octogenarian Polaroid snapper would have been cool enough, but Snowdons assistant too? Excellent.
-
Congrats on both counts Mr Leon. I do hope the latter will not get in the way of the former! 8)
-
Congrats on the new camera and new job Leon!
Please do a podcast review on the Chamonix, I'm sure a lot of us are really looking forward to that! ;D
-
Fabulous news on both fronts, Leon. Hope you soon settle into the new job and that the Chamonix is all you've hoped for.
-
Cheers on both counts!
We should all have a beer at the local pub.....
Anxious to see how you get about with it.
:)
-
Very nice mr taylor
-
Congrats on the new job Leon! ;D
-
thanks again all.
Here's a tempting taster for Ann 8) :

It's a lens for 6x9 but the image circle will just cover 5x4 so I'm told. Exciting.
And if it doesn't, you'll get that much sought after vignetting ;D
-
What sort/make of lens panel is that Leon?
-
Paul - it's a converter from 80mmx80mm to linhof size.. The lens is in a panel for my Horseman camera. I wanted to be able to use it for both LF and MF, so I got a linhof size adaptor. I;ve put all my LF lenses into a horseman panel, and I use this adaptor with them for LF.
works well.
-
I had no idea you were getting a new camera. Straight out of the blue.
;) ;)
Seriously though, it looks great and I know you'll do great things with it. Job too. Excellent!!

Here is another wetplate holder for 4x5:

looks a bit more "industrial" (sturdy) and there is also a 8x10 version. But I sure would love a 5x7" version... :)
