One Subject One Roll: On Set
« on: February 02, 2015, 06:29:26 PM »
For my one subject one roll I decided to shoot though a roll of Tri-X in the Mamiya7 while on set for some commercials that were to begin airing during superbowl.

Nice set SLVR, I really like the first and last ones.  I don't remember seeing it during the Super Bowl, all I remember is the Seahawks blowing it on the 1 yard line :(

the superbowl in canada has canadian commercials overdubbed on top of the american ones. Unfortunately we don't get to see all the great big budget stuff that airs in the US.

Very nice! They're all excellent, though my favorite is #4 with the shadows of people and...equipment things (I know nothing of film set equipment  ??? )

They're all online these days anyway. No need to even watch them during the actual game!

True enough! I've only seen a few but they usually are very high profile work.

This specific studio was a movie theatre back in the 50s on to the early 80s. From then it became studio space. The whole studio itself is fairly big for not being a full blown set. Ive been to bigger studios but also a lot more smaller ones.

I'm glad you enjoyed the images

Nice photos.....!!  Love the first and fourth - but that's being picky.

'Superbowl' is an American food eating festival or something? Looks interesting! Skj.

If you look into the etymology of the word, "soup or bowl?" it becomes obvious that the festival started as a food-based gathering, and eventually a tradition of turning the TV on and watching whatever happened to be on was added.

No, no, no. You've got it all wrong. The event began as a gathering of ornithologists who, after the recent discovery of an impressively sized Strigiforme, previously unknown, decided that they should convene and discuss this superb owl.

Then they named the superb owl "Erb" and everyone used to greet it by saying "'sup, Erb owl?"
