does anyone out there own a Fuji FP-1?
« on: December 23, 2016, 05:39:12 AM »
I'm curious if the pack film holder looks like it is removable?  - I'm considering options to build a rangefinder 4x5 conversion, I wanted to go with the Polaroid 110b, but I'm thinking the FP-1 is a better overall camera with better glass.  Any thoughts or suggestions?

Not sure if this helps.  Scroll down as there's photos of the insides of the camera.....

If the FP-1 is similar in construction to Polaroid's Land cameras you might not get anything bigger than 3x4 without a total rebuild. I have little knowledge of this camera, but I found some info made by fellow filmwasters:

Yeah the back is taped on with some kind of super strong whatever. I never tried to pull mine apart because they aren't cheap. But theoretically it's just a Fuji back stuck on a camera. I sold mine awhile ago but thinking about buying another because the lens is so sharp. The Konica was a bit hot and cold, had a lot of little issues, but the Fuji was very nice. Just have too many cameras. But it does have a fantastic lens! Much better than the 190/195.
