Sites/blogs about wet printing/darkoom work
« on: March 30, 2018, 09:22:18 AM »
I recently joined a community darkroom and have really enjoyed getting back under the safelights and printing. https://www.thegatedarkroom.co.uk

I've used darkrooms in the past, indeed have an enlarger and the kit to do it at home if I want to, but having access to a regular space is changing my thinking about the printing process and how to get the best out of the negative.

I've got several books on the process and am getting to know the other users and learning from them but there's a lot of information out there - can anyone suggest particularly good or interesting sites I should be looking at? I'm focusing on conventional rather than alternative processing at this time.

I've found http://www.twelvesmallsquares.com/tutorials/ and http://www.darkroomdave.com to be helpful - what else is out there?

I can't add suggestions yet but I have a lot to gain from whatever suggestions are made—thanks for these two—as I am planning a darkroom printing binge when I return home in May.  In the meantime, I will surf for effect and report back, if I find something useful.

This YouTube site has about a dozen short films about darkroom work:

The videos are intended as introductions to various darkroom techniques but they are well organized and presented.  She seems to know about what she talks.
