Hello! I'm just wondering what the stars mean next to our name and the 35mm and the Ultra secret book cabal :)...I know it's mostly something to do with time or postings  but I can't work it out...?

I know they're all related to the activity on the site and the number of posts.
The ultra secret book cabal is just a necessary step to becoming a self coating machine ;)
These were Ed's invention as far as I know... which makes me think he's been awfully quiet for a while. I guess his new contract and central London job was not all it's cracked up to be...

I guess the mods should be answering this but, yes, it's just down to the number of posts you've made. You start as 35mm, then become 120, then Peel Apart and then Self Coat. The Ultra Book thingy was/is a special designation for those who volunteered to help put together the filmwasters book.

Funny thing is I got 5 stars and have absolutely no idea how they came about  ;D

I think it's related to the number of posts per day...

Well my posts per day are less then Phil's and I've got 5 stars so that doesn't calculate.

Could be related to number of new topics started (Francois - 252, me - 63, Phil - 27). You need to pick up the pace Phil.

To be honest, I have searched the forum settings and maintenance areas, and can find no clue whatsoever. We'll have to want until the shiny bald one returns from his winterval break to find out the truth.
