My new lab/studio
« on: July 04, 2011, 08:58:20 PM »
Hi,

i hope you like it. After a long search i finally found an affordable room where i can setup my lab and still have enough space for a studio. The lab will be on the left side and the studio on the right.

At the moment, it looks more like a storage room, but after moving in, i hope it will look a little bit more comfortable.

Large, nice big windows that open, plenty of space to put up lights, a nice dark place that's going to be easy to seal-up for the lab... very sweet!

What was that space used for before? Stables? There are strange eyelets in the concrete wall...

Oh man, I'm really jealous. Do you mind sharing where it is? IIRC, you're from Heidelberg, too. Just to get an idea of what's possible around here. Not that I'll be there for much longer.

Spektakular! When I retire, can I rent a little corner to process my negs? Looks just fantastic. Living the dream there... All that natural light & air. Glorious! Skj.

Hi,

@urban: it's near Mannheim. approx. 75m2 + toilet, water supply, but no heating at the moment.

@Mojave, calbisu: how about a portrait session? Green + purple faces......  :-)

@Francois: i don't know. The last tenant uses the room for storing fridges

these were my first thoughts too, when i saw the room for the first time.
The only problem is that my 13x18 enlarger ist too large. But my Durst 605 fits perfect.

@Skorj: you'e welcome at any time. There is enough Rodinal for both of us :-)

LOL!!! Green and purple look great together! That would be an awesome portrait. We'd have to do it in color, of course.  ;D

Hey congratulations on your new space, looks great. Looks like you're going to have fun, kind of a blank slate as it sits now. Keep us posted as things progress.

Wow, congratulations!  What an amazing space!  I just want to run up and down sliding my hand across that "curved" wall  :)
