help - bulk roll of film > FP4
« on: June 17, 2010, 11:06:21 AM »
just bought a bulk roll of FP4 and on the back it says 'FILM CINE FP4 35MM" - I am a bit confused as to what camera is it for(motion or film camera?). Also would any be able to tell if it will have the sprockets on the sides. Thanks.

The 35mm for still photography and cine applications is essentially the same when it comes to B&W film. The sprockets are identical so no problem there.

The only difference is when it comes to color cine film. This is usually the ECN-2 process which is totally incompatible with C-41 minilabs. It comes apart and gums up the machines.

Film is the vinyl record of photography.
