Title: Philip Jones-Griffiths has died

I just spent a few minutes on the Magnum website reminding myself what a superb photographer he was.

Big shame. The guy was one of my heroes. It's beyond a cliche these days to say how powerful and important his book Vietnam Inc is, but damn it...it is. His follow-up work was just as strong and actually his later photography was probably even better, but the text, the politics, the philosophy and the photos together are what make Vietnam Inc the force that it is. It was one of the first "the-man-behind-the-man" books I'd ever read and it changed my views on lots of stuff pretty much overnight.
