also, can we stop talking about scan lines now? I've been blessed to have not many problems with them recently. I hate rescanning because of something like that!!
(I always wipe the calibration area before a scan with a dry lens cloth)
a friend says he fixes them in photoshop but that's even more work most of the time than firing up the scanner again
