What ISO worked best? I'm thinking of redscaling a roll myself and trying it out. What tape do I use to stick it back together?

I shot 25, 16 and 8 on the same roll and was able to get images from all of them. Brightly lit red/orange/yellow subjects worked better than blue or green subjects. The shopping cart and graffiti shots were at 16 with direct overhead sun. The watermelon/tangerine was at 25 under fluorescent light. The brownie was shot at 8, but it is sitting on a green leafy bush. So, if you were to send me more film  :P I would redscale it and shoot at 25 for convenience. I used regular 'scotch' tape to stick the film together after cutting it.

Hope that helps.

James

Ok! I just redscaled my first roll of film! It is loaded in my XA to shoot at 25 (which is as low as the XA goes). I'll send you another roll to work with as well. Thanks for the inspiration!

A note that you all probably know ... after struggling with trying to reroll the film by hand, I had the brilliant idea to just put it in the XA and rewind it in-camera. Definitely a "duh" moment for me, and I'm glad I thought of it before I got too frustrated! :P

Lovely lovely photos from everyone. Here is one from me I took yesterday evening while sipping beer in a local park. Suddenly I saw a one-legged bench. Nikon FM, APX100, Rodinal 1+25.

Nice! Very Escher :)

I just developed a roll of Tri-X in Rodinal, and was reminded how grainy that comes out. I have a love/hate relationship with grain ...  :P

And here it is. Chinatown, NYC, Tri-X unintentionally overexposed a stop or maybe 2, Rodinal 1:100 1hr semi-stand (inversion at 1/2 hour)

Try putting it in the fridge for the hour stand  I have found HP5 grainy in Rodinal but read if you develop it colder you get less grain so tried it in the fridge

Hey, that's a great idea! I'll try it next time I soup Tri-X in Rodinal (not my usual combo ... I only did it because I was developing a friend's roll of TMax 100 shot at 200 in the same development tank, so I figured Rodinal 1:100 being the great equalizer it would develop both rolls, which it did)

I can play this week...

something from a recent road trip-  windmills beside old falling down houses always make me take notice..
