Paul - that first one is a beauty.
Miller - excellent Pola action. I'm noticing you're venturing out of the smoke more and more. Be careful you don't get lost!  ;)

Here are a couple I scanned this week from my summer hols. I'm still loving Terry's pano.

Great stuff all around. I'm finally getting into scanning again. These shots (Yashica Mat, Velvia 50, OMAX close-up filters) are from almost a year ago!

It's shaping up to be another good weekend! It's interesting to see mini themes develop. Leaves, sea...I'm red/green clour blind so I think I am missing the impact of Urbanhafners lovely pics.
Lots to love here.

Here is my effort for the week. Cowgate from Greyfriars Kirk. My stock of Neopan 400 120 in nearly done, sniff. Rolleiflex T, developed in Perceptol. I have been pursuing a series of images like these for a while (3 years in fact!) and the sun is just right around now to get the look I want. I had taken the dslr out the week before and got some similar shots but the film ones are SO much better. No contest. It's that range of light that I still think digital struggles with. Rollei, film, developer - seems to bring it under control. The slower 12 strip of film also helps to focus the mind. I know it's part luck that the cyclist is right in the middle of the roundabout, but I don't think I'd have seen that with the dslr.

Exceptional stuff, all. I especially enjoy Diane's barn, and Karl's Cowgate, and Nigel's top pano from the summer, and Nick's vine leaves, and. and and...

Like Urban, mine is from a Yashica Mat 124G. My mom is having a new roof put on and cleared out her attic. I was given some old boxes and found some negatives in very rough shape from a summer trip to Europe I took as a teenager in 1984.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

paul m: that first shot, just gorgeus~ the orange light is just perfect against the pier

karl: well timed! at first I just looked and admired the buildings and.. is that a real person or a statue in the middle of the round about? haha! picked me up, thanks :)

francois: these are good! kind of like portraits of the less fortunate, looking quite disfigured. I think the kind of harsh light empathizes this.

windy: I'm a fan of those kind of shots, nice!

carl radford: high five the sun!

spraynpray: lovely lovely light! damn.. and there's something to look at all over the picture. what format is that? 6x7? I think those almost-squares are quite calming :)

axia: summer feels far away but seeing this - I wanna take a swim! nice to know you're getting some film for that baby :)

and here's a few from me.. glad to have something to show, been shooting a lot of colour lately and I just can't decide if I want to send them off or buy a(nother!) tetenal kit  :-X

anyway, have a great weekend everyone!  ;D

it's actually 135  ;)

my trusty little olympus p&s advanced my film wrong so i had a half frame type thing going on for a few shots.. its just a crop so hence the square. thanks!

Could it be the loss of colour in the winter has gotten to me already? Great photos from everyone as usual, but those colour ones knocks me out.

Urbanhafner, looooove yours.
And Paul Michell, your opening photos are wonderful.

As for the scenics, I have to say that whenever I see scenics from the UK, I just want to jump on a plane and spend a month there just wandering around shooting. Someday...

Thank you! I was going to stop using slide film as developing C41 is supposedly easier than E6 (and having film developed is quite pricy here), but I guess I might have to reconsider that ... Maybe I need to start doing C41 and E6 at home.

gothamtomato - the former ghetto was pretty depressing: decaying soviet block architecture and very small memorials at different locations.

A couple more - the 1st in particular as it was she who 1st noticed the elaborate metal work on one plot from my shot in my first post....
