Background: I am sure I'm not alone when I say that my day job has no relation to photography. But sometimes at the end of the week, I find it difficult to motivate myself to pick up the camera and take photographs.
So as a way to inspire myself, I decided to document something that was right at hand and easily accessible.
My dog :-)
Now, the subject is quite trivial but the exercise was more to go through the motion of documenting something.
I shot 3 rolls of film all with a single camera and a single lens and wanted to do it like a gritty B&W style documentary. In the end I chose twelve shots for the essay.
Has anyone else embarked on such a project just to get the creative juices flowing again?

A Dogs Life
Three years ago, we adopted a 6 year chocolate labrador retriever. In September of 2011, I embarked on a project to document her routine during the day.

Very nice documentary of a day in the life of a dog. You caught her personality in several of these, and the ones showing movement are very good. I particularly like the barking-to-show-it's-time-to-wrestle shot, and the head against the bed one is very endearing.
