I have to admit that the final push to finish my M.Sc. have taken up most of my time this last month but
all cards are written and ready to go, will get envelopes and stamps today - sending out this afternoon.
Sorry for the delay, kind Filmwasters  :)

Thank you Diane, Marcel, Damion and Francois. Lovely stuff. No need to worry Marcel, your lith looks fabulous. Good to see more pinholes, appreciate Diane's dedication in first building a camera and then using it, been there too. And Damion's pinhole selfie with a pinhole camera, also something I've tried my hand at with lately. And thanks Francois, indeed the back roads are where untold beauty resides.

Today was a literal postcard bonanza!
Diane's mannequin, Eirik's lake side pinhole and Marcel's Lithprint...

I'm going to need to start putting them all in sleeves pretty soon!

I have had a computer problem over the last week so I haven't been able to post when the cards came in but they are all adorn the living rooom mantlepiece, so a big thanks to
Damion for his on street pinhole,
Becky for the braving being savaged by a wild cat,
Elrik beautifully tranquil pinhole,
Bryan's fantastic giant water truck Polaroid,
Diane for the brilliant pinhole
and Francois intriquing backstreets shot.
You guy are so wonderfully imaginative!

And an awesome instant print from Aksel came last night. Thank you!!  ;D

I think I'm going to put together a display of some sort this weekend and try to get a picture of it to share. I'd love to see some pictures of the cards the other "team" sent/received, too.

In the meantime, here's the image that was on the cards I sent out:

I was in the same group as Leonore. Mine were all the same image, but the printing/toning process made each one unique-ish.

Just come back from a business trip to Aksel's wonderfully dark and atmospheric Fuji instant. It's macabre, intense and really rather powerful. Well done.

Last week the mailman dropped the images of Eirik, Becky and Damian on my doormat. The pleasure of picking up a postcard reminds me a little of darkroom work .... it is always a surprise. Wonderful, just wonderful.

Thank you Becky, like the big cat sloshed in Caffenol.

That makes 12 cards in my mailbox, but I only got 10 to send to. I have a few left, if anyone is interested.

due to laziness, and a need to clean up my workspace. I did also sent older less than perfect cyanotypes... but they are bigger than the average card. So I have cut them up!  ;D Some received portion of photos! Gotta put them together like a puzzle! 8)

I dunno, around here we're still getting tomatoes. They were kind of late this year. ;)

In the meantime, here's what I did with the postcards I got this year.
(I tried to get a picture of this with the Instax but it was either way too dark or too blown from the flash, and I didn't want to blow through an entire pack just to get this shot, so I had to settle for a d****** snap  :P )

(There's no glass - it's just an extra frame I had that I put up around the collage.)

So, what about my proposal ?
Maybe we should create a "Print Swap Club" ? That would be cool.

Paul Mitchell and I exchanged a couple of prints between ourselves outside of anything "official" on the website, so that is one option.  If it's going to be something like a "club" run via the website, it's probably best to get it okayed from the mods first.

I hope, that mods will notice this idea and make comment on that. I don't know, what would be the possibilities for such an initiative. Maybe we should start a new thread about it to not to mess up topic here ?

What a couple of FW members get up to outside the confines of the FW website is no-one's concern but those members. A separate thread sounds like a good idea but, as with collaborations, postcard exchanges and anything else done with the Filmwasters tag attached, it seems sensible to just check with Leon, Ed, Damion, etc to see they're happy to go with it.

I have no more say in the matter than anyone else.  these are purely suggestions of what I think would be the courteous thing to do in the circumstances.
