Weekend 27th-29th April
« on: April 27, 2018, 07:45:57 AM »
I may not have a chance to make a pinhole image this Sunday for World Pinhole Photography day, but I can start the weekend thread with one from a few weeks ago.

This is a ruin called "Riddlehamhope" in the North Pennines, taken with an Intrepid 4x5 + pinhole on Foma 100.

That's quite a ruin, Kevin. I'd love to have a chance to shoot something that open - all our ruins are buried in the woods.

For the second week in a row, I have color. It's a strange feeling.

Nice ruins, Kevin. It reminds me of the old limestone buildings/houses I used to see while living in Kansas. Also, nice colors, Pilot. Kodak Gold?

I haven't shot much film lately, as I have been re-discovering the joy (and convenience) of using a DSLR. However, I sent a couple of rolls of Provia to the lab for E6 process, and have Ektar loaded in one of my cameras. Maybe this weekend I'll go to Philly and finish it off.

I've also started to print my favorite shots, 8X10 and 12x18, and frame them. The 8x10 frames I buy for $1 at the Dollar Tree, and the 12x18 are "nice" ones from Michael's, buy one get one free. They are matted to fit 12x18. Add some "class" to my barren apartment.

No, actually it's Superia 200. I bought a pile of it when Walmart was closing it out at like $1/roll. It's been sitting here for years, so I decided to just start burning it off. I've been carrying the little Minox 35ML loaded with it for those shots where I want to use color.

These were both shot with a Leica IIIa using a Canon Serenar f/4 135mm lens.  The film is Kodak Tri-X developed in Rodinal 1:50.

I've been shooting some rolls of Rollei Infrared IR 400 lately, quite interesting film. These are shot without any filter.

Nice thread as always. I like O2's (prison yard?) color and Kai's barbed wire. These are a continuation of last week's offering of expired Ektachrome in my flipped Argus Super Seventy-five.
