Just received back a roll from the Darkroom in Cheltenham today and scanned four. Two from a Rolleiflex 621 and two from a Fuji GS645S.

Fuji 160NS always somehow reminds me to stick to black and white.

Great photos! I am headed to San Francisco for the weekend with the family, and I was inspired by Miles to take my Chinon CM-4. It's fairly light and small for an SLR. I doubt my shots will come out anywhere near as good as his, though.

My shot is from last week at my in-laws' place. Pentax KX with a K series 50/1.4.

I'm liking the color landscapes thus far but Miles' b&w portraits are magical. Karl's make me want to shoot some Fuji color stock--I'm looking for one I like as well as Portra NC. Sigh. I went to Rizal Park in Manila last weekend. Spent some really good time talking with the People and wasting some film, so many real characters over there. And people were really nice and let me took some portraits

These two taken with the Rollei and Tmax 400, light conditions were really poor and I had to shoot against back light subjects, it would have been a bit too much to tell people to move..

The shot is SX70 with some experimental PX100 flash film which has a strange dark tone. IP were doing 6 packs for under £30.00 so I got drawn in.

Windy, lucky you and Andrea... Viewed some past events and it looks great... Time I got the bits on my restored Harry Quinn frame methinks...

Karl - I had most of the Contax G gear until a year ago. That 45mm lens is the one I miss most. Great shots.

Miles - I especially like the first image of the little one. She's enjoying herself :-)

Soap - "one" is fantastic. Just the right posture for the scene.

This week I have only a public service announcement. A few weeks back I recommended using self-adhesive flocking inside cameras that suffer from low contrast due to internal reflections, like my Yashica. Well I've removed mine. The stuff apparently started to shed, and I guess film must have a slight static charge because the hairy evidence was all over my negs. :-) Anyway the stuff is gone now and I'm forcing the contrast issue by exposing Tri-X at 1600. My kid is back at school, whistling while doing his math.

Yet another great thread and some particularly nice colour shots. Particular kudos to:

- Miller. The shot of CJ is just stunning. Very antique look to it.
- Harvey's plums - look delicious.
- Sandeha's Fuji 645 shots. Amazing colours and sharpness.
- Rkbry's spikey shot is a beaut.
- Calbisu. Two shots I would dearly love to have taken.
- Soap. Your second is just wonderfully atmospheric.

My efforts this week were taken last Sunday at Leigh-on-Sea on the Thames mud-front where it meets the North Sea, just east of Canvey Island. Old Leigh is a great little village full of cockle sheds and over-priced, trendy fish restaurants. There are a number of great little corners. Film is Ilford HP5+ shot via R3 Mot/50mm Summicron-R. Processed / sharpened via CS3 and sepia tone added using Silver Efex Pro.

would send you a message within the week, I might be free this next weekend. I really would want to develop myself and its one of my goals before the year ends. Hidalgo seems to all the chems needed, there is a store called Columbia in Cubao, Quezon City that sell chems as well but not really familiar what stuff they have. I have a Canon A-1 here that I have not tested yet, it has the squeal/squeak.

Haven't contributed anything (verbal or visual) for ages, have been so busy and it's been a matter of 'make hay while the sun shines'. Hopefully things have calmed down a bit and I can start contributing a bit more.

What I love about this weekly thread is the quality and huge variety of images posted. And the fact that it isn't a competition and they're not being offered up for critique, they're just being posted so everyone else can enjoy them.

A few images that have caught my eye and deserve recognition this week are...

calbisu - two beautiful images but no. 2 has the X factor

Paul (LD) - your third image is a corker, could have been taken in the 70's

BTW, my shots were Ektachrome E100VS cross-processed in C41. It's the first time I ever cross-processed -- I also have some regular E6 processed rolls from that shoot that I don't have back yet. I'll see which works best. The color shifts aren't too crazy, which is what I was hoping for. Overexposed 1 1/3 stops.

The motel was way out on eastern Long Island, a trip back to 1962 or thereabouts.

Life is pretty quiet and uneventful in rural Norfolk, but today the Tour of Britain cycle race came through our village - a pretty big deal in these parts, especially for a cycling fan.
At this point the peloton was chasing a break away group 5 minutes further up the road.

Soap - as said before they have a classy quality on them
Hookstrapped - really like 2nd and 3rd ones, fantastic, and the slight crossprocessed works just fine

Two color ones with the Rollei and Ektar film. It took some time to shoot this color roll. I remember putting the color roll in the camera and just asking myself: so now what, do I really want to shoot color? Lately with medium format I am just thinking in black and white. Is little Alma which is growing fast!

Here's a final one from me this weekend. Some flowers taken on Fuji Superia 200 (a trial roll of 12 taken with a my R3 Mot/50mm Summicron-R). It was a very simple grab shot but it's turned out better than anticipated...
