One Subject, One Roll - Jesphon Gardens - Royal Leamington Spa
« on: February 07, 2015, 03:47:58 PM »
It has been approx 12 months since I last put any film through a camera and I thought what better way than with a try at one subject one roll.

A little further information can be found here:

Wonderful shots! The light in some looks almost like it is summer, but then I notices some trees without leafs in the background.

You capture the gardens really well with these. I used to really like the Bird house back in the day, it was a bit shabby but until some vandals let all the birds out I used to enjoy having a wander down there during my lunch break and watching them while I had a sandwich.

Thank you all for your comments.

The sun was quite strong when not behind the clouds, almost made the light buildings glow.

I wasn't sure the swans one would come out shooting directly into the sun and am quite pleased with this.  Metered the tarmac path behind me and closed down a few more stops.

As a child when ever we went to the gardens, we would stop and look at the aviary to see the birds and climb the tree in front of it. Although it did start to get a bit tatty towards the end of it life in this role.  Turning it into a cafe is a good use of this old building.

What is really a shame is that the floral clock is no longer there again vandals taking their toll.

Lovely set, there, Mike.  The third one is a real stand-out for me.

That swan shot is killer! There are so many layers, and all good no matter where you look in the image. The rest of the images are really beautiful, too - it's just that the swan shot is a show-stopper.
