Title: Bruges in Winter
Post by: charles binns on February 01, 2015, 02:35:05 PM
I took the wife for a week end visiting the Christmas Market in Bruges in December.  The market itself was abit of a disappointment but Bruges is always a special place to visit, no matter what time of year and we spent a very pleasant couple of days wandering along the its streets.

Great atmospheric shots. I continue to be impressed with what you are able to get out of a Holga.

Love the series. I was in Leuven last week (for the job) and very impressed by the town. Maybe I should consider Belgium for one of the next holidays.

Great impressions! Thanks a lot, Charles. Belgium maybe is a not so well known target for excursions. I also can highly recommend Antwerps, an exceptionally beautiful city, and it's not far away from the surviving "real" Agfa plant! And the belgian pommes frites are way better than those in France, they are the best in the world. When I studied in Aachen (Aix-la-Chapelle) which is very close we often went the 10 kilometers to Belgium to buy tobacco, trapists beer and spring on the chip stands directly behind the frontier. Those were the days my friends ......

I really like those canal shots. There's something quite moody about the water.

#'s 1 & 2 are toy camera perfection! Superb shots here. Thanks for sharing some European culture with me. Being stuck in San Diego can be a drag. When you say "culture" here, people say, "Oh, you mean like the beach?" and when you say "history" people say, "Dude, like that really old place that was built back in the '70s?"  ::)

This is why Europe (and Asia, and Africa) are far superior to Murca.

Ya Charles, those are amazing. I have a holga I picked up for a song a few years ago that I have never used. I don't know if your pics inspire me or intimidate me (by setting a high bar haha).
