The Levi's Workshops
« on: February 22, 2011, 10:45:07 PM »
I just stumbled onto this on youtube.
I know it's a bit an advertisement for Impossible, but what I loved about it is you can see them using a nice 20x24 camera!

Enjoy

And here's a description of how it works

Great Looking camera and where did they get all those polaroid cameras?

Any idea what the Levi photoworkshop is\was about.  I've been to the site but can't quite work it out.

That camera is so wonderful, I'd love to see it in action some time.

I don't really know what it was all about either... All I know is it was a bunch of classes, in New york, with Polaroids, DJ's, Music, nice jeans... Just that makes me regret not being there :)

@ Nigel.

Well, they're using a photo of the photographer using that precise camera as an advertisement for the "Focus on Imaging" event - due to take place at the NEC from 06 march to 09 march (inclusive). I hope it's there as my wife and I will be at the show on Monday 7th March.

Makes me wonder what was in it for Levi's, probably good PR.

Look's like it would have been fun to join in.

Somehow, I wonder how they would feel about a guy with red hair who's addicted to corduroy ;)
then again, I probably shouldn't :)

Don't know whether anybody has visited the 20x24 studio site but seems to be well worth a look.

http://20x24studio.com/

It appears that they obtained the equipment\rights from polaroid to make the raw materials etc.

They have another youtube video of the levi's workshop

Levis_20x24_Impossible_Workshop.mp4

I particularly like the vertical combination on the last print in the video.
