An informal and slightly irreverent look at the world of creative, film-based photography brought to you by the creators of Filmwasters.com. Not all photographers are anoraks or obsessives.

Episode 17: Interview with Steve Brierley from Ilford Photo – August 2011

Note: Interview with Steven starts at around 6 minutes 30 seconds.

It’s been 11 long months since the last Filmwasters audio podcast, but we’re back with a bang as Leon interviews one of Ilford Photo’s head honchos, Steven Brierley, about the future of analogue photography. I’d write more, but if you’re an trad photo person then you already have the best reason on the planet to go and give this a listen.

Video Podcast 07: Too Stylish For That Bag – June 2011

Our seventh video podcast features an extended report from a little insider event in London called, Photographica 2011. Loads of us went along and we had a fantastic time. Before that though the podcast covers Ed’s visit to the London Street Photography exhibition at the Museum of London, a nail-biting finish for the Filmwasters Pub Quiz team & a seaside ‘photo walk’ with Woody the Dog & Leon the Human. Boo ya!

Featuring Ed Wenn, Leon Taylor, Nigel Rumsey & the Filmwasters Photographica Crew.

Video Podcast 05: Nothing is Good Enough for People Like You – April 2011

Our fifth video podcast features what we hope is a balanced look at some film from the Impossible Project. Some of us like it, some of us don’t and we present both sides in this show. There’s also a tips and tricks section and a lovely gallery of photos from Erin McGuire.

Featuring Erin McGuire, Ed Wenn, Damion Rice & Leon Taylor.

p.s.

We have a couple more almost-completed podcasts in the pipeline, so look out for the next one in a matter of weeks.

Video Podcast 04: Beating the Slump – November 2010

The fourth video podcast from the Filmwasters features a slump-busting trip to Northern France as our intrepid contributor overcomes her fear of photographing strangers in the street. There’s a tutorial on how to load two rolls of 120 film onto a single developer reel and we finish off with a look back at our trip earlier this year to London’s annual Photographica camera fair.

Featuring Ailsa McWhinnie, Ed Wenn, Leon Taylor & the Photographica crew.

N.B. For whatever reason the video and audio quality of this episode aren’t as good as previous podcasts. Apologies for that. Must do better next time.
