I should probably stop hanging out at greasy burger joints and junk yards, but I probably won't.  Baby Rolleiflex with Ilford HP5+ developed Rodinal 1:25 for 8 minutes.

Oh no! Don't ever stop going to greasy burger joints and junk yards!

Mine's from a recent foray into Texas to visit Dad.
HP5 disposable camera, which I like a lot!! It's a beast to reload though...
Film dev'd in caffenol delta recipe for 9 minutes. Spiffy!
happy weekend everyone!

Since it's Easter I'll post something with yellow in it. I had to get this shot before the council stepped in to cover it up. Funny what can come to light in old towns, this looks like somebody's bathroom floor being uncovered as the tarmac crumbles away.

Astrobeck, what a happy photograph! I love it.

I've had a productive week with the 4x5 camera. Here's a photo from Fitzgerald Marine Reserve (there are actually tide pools in the rocks, but it was high tide when I was shooting so no starfish in this picture!) and another one of a fan palm, for a series of contact print postcards I'm doing.

Bryan, I'm glad for the places you share. Very nice indeed. I wonder if that Pontiac 8 was delivered with a cover on the steering wheel? It seems noodle thin.

Flippy, Cowboys and Indians with bourbon has a lot of Eggleston in it. Great shot.

Becky, This image needs to be printed and framed. Beautiful!

Don’t worry, my job requires that I go to junk yards and such.  It does look like the grip is missing from the steering wheel, someone also took the radio.

Flippy, I had those same Cowboys and Indians when I was a child, that brought back some memories.

Busy weekend already!
Last weekend took me half way across the country on a freebie which turned out really well. Time for a couple of snaps underground even ...

From the crypt of a 'quite interesting' cathedral, Rochester, Kent.

It was the second cathedral to be built by the Normans, and it was added to in the Perpendicular style before the builders got their heads around the potential of the Gothic arch, such that it contains all three styles.

Great shots, everyone. Becky's framed house really caught my eye. So did Kai's outdoor kitchen floor. I have a thing for granite (especially the climbable kind ;) ), so thanks William for sharing the granite block. Sandeha, I love the spooky Rochester shot. Great work everyone.

I've shot a roll of Ilford HP5+ at box speed with my Canon F-1 and developed it in Caffenol-C-H (RS) for the first time. I'm happy with the results.

Love that motor bike pic.
Thanks, François. We have a brilliant museum close by which is called the "PS.Speicher" (which literally translated means something like the "BHP.Storage", BHP being brake horsepower). They have all sorts of old cars and have a very comprehensive exhibition on the history of the motorcycle. It literally starts with the Dandy Horse and shows the most important developments up until today. There's a nice trailer which gives you an idea what it looks like. The motorcycle in the picture can be seen in the background of the photo on this page. It was quite hard getting an interesting and feasible composition because the widest lens I had was a 20mm and you couldn't move the chairs in front of the exhibit. If I go back to this museum I definitely have to look into getting a lens between a 14-17mm focal length to re-do the shot. ;)

Looks like a really cool place.
Strangely, we don't have an automotive museum in Montreal...
But we do have a few luxury car dealerships that allow the visitors to take pictures. Been to one once but the light was too dim for the camera I had. I did get to smell that nice hand stitched Italian leather in a Lambo Avantador. They also had a Ferrari Testarossa, a few AMG Mercedes and other stuff. And from the parking you could see one of their customer's Packard which was stored on the second floor. But this was sadly off limits to visitors.

Very nice weekend shots, everyone.

These two are from yesterday, I was testing out the 150mm 3.5 lens for the Bronica. Shot on Delta 400 and developed in Ilfosol DD-X 1:4.

As always, a great turnout this weekend. I particularly like Kai's tiles (I can't believe they're not going to restore/preserve that!), Sandeha's cathedral (with feelings for Notre dame), and CS's motorcycle (I think the 20 does it justice quite nicely). I think I have my own spring-themed photo, I'll go search for it now...

Here it is, a magnolia in Union Square. If only the Contax had one of those nifty built-in yellow filters :D

cs1, I remember seeing a Hildebrand & Wolfmüller motorcycle in Germany, at an airplane museum, of all places. It turns out that Wolfmüller was also active in the design of early hang gliders.

It's a fascinating motorcycle. In the PS.Speicher they have a very interesting video playing in the background which explains how the motor works. Brilliant!
