I thought I would kick this last weekend thread of 2012 off. These are always such an inspirational collection of photos. 2013 has a lot to live up to!

Nice colourful start (or end to 2012). Taken last week using the 'Share the love' lens I got fom Paul on my Olympus OM1 on expired Kodak Gold.

Phil - that's a real cracking shot, so bright and sharp.
Miller - I love the colour of that Pola and a great subject.

Great job everyone!!

Phil - I just love your clean, sharp Marfa images!

Miller - WOW.  WHAT a beauty!

Hookstrapped - that series has a fabulous 'garish-ness' that the colors mimic beautifully!

It's been such a long time since I last posted something!
These were from a roll I processed yesterday. It was taken by the very lovely Lubitel 166 I got through the Share the love thread (thanks Ezzie)
Now I must say I'm happily surprised by it!

Diane, I love that Holga image of the fireworks stand! Was that taken with just the normal Holga lens? It kinda swirls on the outside!

Impossible to pick favourites from those as they're all lovely in their own way. That said, I have a definite soft spot for Miller's tree.

My entries this week are from the same roll of film (Ilford XP2 Super). One is our cat, Saffy, who often sits on the ironing board and watches me process my photos. I got my own back this time. The other is from a Christmas market in a church yard on Strand in London. Both Nikon F3HP with 35mm/f2

This thread needs more ice and cold!

The blue moment arrives in the north immediately before the sun sets. The blue light lasts just a minute or two.

The film used here is Agfavista Plus 400 (shot at EI 200) and developed in a Tetenal C-41 kit. My 'winter camera' is a beaten Nikon FM that just works in all conditions.

Lovely light on that shot Sean, but such a shame to see a DQ shut for good. I'm a big fan of 'The Blizzard'!

Actually, it wasn't my shot you saw on the podcast! It most probably was Becky's as we're probably the only two who find something nice in oversized satellite dishes :) I shot mine only a few days ago at the space agency. It reminded me a lot of these scenes in Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back where the rebel alliance is on that frozen planet.

Love the Belair shot, Volker. Nice and punchy and a great format. Pity about the light leaks.

Last couple from me this year. I finally succumbed to the allure of a Holga. Well for £20 or so, I reckon I can afford to bin it if I don't like it and, if I do like it, it's a cheap camera. These were taken yesterday afternoon in Clacton and Jaywick on the Essex coast. Holga 120N, Fuji Superia 400. Some weird colour stuff happening on the "jaywick 2" shot. Looks nice as a mono.

Apologies for not being around to post much in 2012 but this has not stopped me from dropping in to enjoy all your wonderful work, this thread being no exception. One of my faves this month is Paul's Holga pic of the fence... superb colour and composition.

Here's a pinhole from me taken in the Lake District back in October.

Thanks for the comment regarding the Holga shot, Paul. It's a weird little beastie but I'll persevere with it as the output is "interesting".

Love the pinhole of the lake District. The hills in the distance look like Yewbarrow and Haystacks - so I presume the road in the foreground is the one around Buttermere / Crummock Water.....?? Irrespective, it's a stunning part of the world any months of the year.

Happy New Year to one and all....
